Welcome to Hoch Silver Labs! We are located in western Iowa, and we love our labs. |
We know you have been looking long and hard for that special lab, and ours will not disappoint. By breeding our females one time a year only, we keep them in tip top shape. The health/mental health of the girls is the top priority so they can be great hunters and pets for us, and provide the best puppies for you. Our dogs have room to roam and our not stuck in small, confining kennels. We live on an acreage outside of Harlan, Iowa, and they have the opportunity to hunt/explore every day. We live in good pheasant and quail country, and Hope and Faith get to kick up birds regularly. Their lineage is from Montana, and they were bred to hunt upland birds. They have fantastic noses--if the bird is out there, Hope and Faith will find them. Imagine watching these silver-coated labs searching for birds in a bright green alfalfa field. The contrast of their color to the surroundings is just unbelievably special. I can't wait for you to experience it, too!
We have a 2 year guarantee for the health of our puppies hips and eyes. We are in this because we love our labs, and want others to have dogs that do what they were born to do. Our silver labs are beautiful, smart, and bred to be both family members and terrific hunting partners. Our puppies have been bred to be that for you as well.
Our breeding program is a family affair! All of the family members are working hard to make sure your puppy has a fantastic start. My husband Kyle and I spend quality time with the girls daily, as well as monitoring their feeding, grooming, and general health. Puppies are delivered right in our kitchen with our assistance, where we monitor their progress throughout their first six weeks. When pups are born in your home, you do tend to get to know each and every one of them very well. To say they are doted on hand and foot would be an understatement.
Our son oldest son has chosen a silver lab to be his own dog, as he recently graduated from college and will take Grizz as soon as he establishes his own home. Matthew, our second son loves to come home from college and spend time working with the labs and is a great help during puppy time. Our daughter, Jenna, gives them lots of attention and takes the labs for long walks daily. She loves taking care of the new puppies once the whelping is over. I can honestly say it is a team effort!!
